Ommpc

Ommpc is another music player for the gp2x. I found it to be kind of buggy when playing music and missing some important features (I couldn't figure out how to turn the screen off). It does have some unique features though and for me is the ability to close the music player and continue playing in the background so you can go on and play games. I really don't think that I would ever use this because usually when I'm playing games I want full access to the processors power and I would like to hear the games music not my own. Either way I think if you want to know if you would like this player or not then as the projects site says "The answer lies in the intended audience."

To sum things up I am just going to stick with the default gph player on my 2x, but that is just me, there are many players out there all with their own purposes and it comes down to what features you like in a player.

Overall I give it a 4/10

Space Squares

Well I'm not sure if I don't understand this game or I just don't like it. Either way my playing experience wasn't good. The object of the game is to match squares, thats about all you do. There are still some bugs in the game such as screen flicker and a slow moving cursor. I think this game could be helped out a lot by adding some music and maybe a time limit to speed up the action and pace of the game.

This game was created by mac10 and it's his first game for the gp2x with hopefully many more to come. Thank you for your hard work we can always use some more devs on the gp2x scene.

Overall I give this game a 3/10

Gpsp

Gpsp is a GBA emulator for gp2x and to put it simply, it's the freaking bomb. It still has a few bugs but not many considering it was recently released. ZodTTD is the porter of this amazing emulator. As for performance, most games run quite smoothly with sound at 200mhz, something many people said would never be done on the 2x. It is now one of my most used emulators. It even includes full screen scaling, something I love to have on systems with a small resolution.

I give it a 9/10
